Reminders That Could Save a Life
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a time to pause and take a proactive step for your health. Early detection starts with knowing what’s normal for you. Monthly self-checks are a simple, effective way to spot changes early. Regular mammograms are also one of the most effective tools for early detection.
What you can do today:
* Many insurance plans cover screenings at no cost — check your benefits or ask HR for resources.
✓ If you’re over 40 (or have a family history of breast cancer), talk with your healthcare provider about scheduling your annual mammogram.
✓ Encourage a friend, family member, or colleague to do the same.
Let’s make breast health a priority, for ourselves and for each other.
You can also attend the Prisma Health Walk for Life and Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon on Saturday, November 1st. Wear your company shirt to represent US&S and help raise awareness for this important cause.
