We’re excited to welcome Matthew Smith as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of US&S. With more than 20 years of leadership and operational management experience, Matthew brings a wealth of expertise in aligning strategic vision with operational excellence.
In his new role, Matthew will focus on optimizing resources, driving performance, and supporting scalable long-term growth. His background includes a distinguished military career as a U.S. Army Combined Arms Aviator—culminating in battalion command—followed by leadership roles at Cisco Systems and the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
Matthew holds an MBA, a Master of Arts from the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from Dickinson College. Based in Greenville, SC, he is dedicated to ensuring US&S continues to deliver exceptional facility services to our customers and communities.

On Thursday, November 6th, a team from US&S joined Mill Village Farms at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena for the 2025 Yam Jam. Our group packed nearly 300 bags of sweet potatoes, contributing to over 8,000 bags prepared for families across South Carolina.
Events like Yam Jam highlight our commitment to stewardship and community support, values that continue to define who we are as a company.
